Iximche Mayan Ruins

Day 1 – Enjoy the private transfer to Iximche Mayan Ruins.  You’ll go back in time 1000 years to the original capital of Guatemala.  Or was it?  The story changes every time I go.  We’ll have lunch at a local favorite restaurant.  Located in the mountains of Guatemala, Katok is known throughout the country for its meat, sausages, and cheeses.  All made on their own farms.

After lunch, we’ll head to Lake Atitlan and its main town, Panajachel.  We’ll visit the Lake museum to learn more about the lake and how it’s formed throughout the years.  Dinner will be in Panajachel.

Bus: 5 hours.  Walking: Moderate

Day 4 – You’ll have some free time in the morning to get any last minute shopping or lounging in.   For lunch we’ll go see Smokin’ Joe’s BBQ.  This guy has it figured out.  Started out as a one man band but you should see his operation now.  Once you’re stuffed, we’ll board our private shuttle back to the Barcelo in Guatemala City.  You’ll have a little time to get settled before the start of Johnny’s Seminar.

Bus: 4-5 hours.  Walking: Light
